Rep. Darrell Issa Spars with Mary Nichols of CARB
Suspecting that CARB may be exerting unlawful influence over the agencies that determine federal fuel-economy standards, Representative Darrell Issa has begun an inquiry into CARB by first firing off a 13-page letter demanding answers from Mary Nichols. Mary Nichols fired back saying "we take pride that we have crafted common-sense rules" (full letter).
