Make Way for Ducklings

Watch for our "What Book Wednesday" feature on twitter  - we'll post the first line of a children's book and you name the book.

BookEnds also tweets fascinating literacy related facts every Friday in our "Friday Facts" feature.

Cocktails and Conversation on Thursday July 28th

kids reading
Children need books to learn to read but California ranks 49th in the country in children's access to books.  BookEnds empowers our kids to make a difference in our community through organizing book drives to recycle their children's books. A simple program that works!
If you'd like to learn more, please join us for cocktails and conversation on Thursday July 28th
from 7-8:30 pm.  Email [email protected] for more information or to RSVP.

Unique BookEnds

We are proud of our long association with Los Angeles area public and private schools, but the BookEnds team is equally delighted with some new partnerships:

  bowling

-the UTA Foundation held a Big

Bowl event and raised a significant

     amount of money for BookEnds

     Yeah team!

-BookEnds happily received 14 boxes of new books from the PEN Center USA

-Through our partnership with Book Buddies, we are supplying spanish language books at a Telemundo /IKEA event on July 23rd.  Come to the IKEA store in Burbank from noon to 2 and join us in celebrating family literacy.

How great is this!

What is BookEnds?

BookEnds is a non profit organization about Creating Readers and LeadersBookEnds is built upon our belief in children.  We believe that every child has a right to be surrounded by books throughout their childhood to inspire, enthrall and excite them.  We also believe that every child should have the opportunity to learn to help.

Annually, nearly 20,000 students organize BookEnds book drives in their schools to recycle their quality children's books directly into the hands of kids in schools and youth organizations that are in desperate need of books. At BookEnds, we build the next generation of readers and leaders.  Contact us!
