The nutritional assistance that we provide is vital to our little dreamers, as many of our students suffer from chronic malnutrition. Our students receive instruction in both their native indigenous language and Spanish, preparing them for an Elementary level education.
It only takes a moment to look into these faces and remember the joy and innocence of childhood. Many of these students have very difficult home lives; whether it is growing up in extreme poverty in a single parent home, suffering illness without proper medical care, or going to sleep hungry night after night. Through laughter and play, learning and dreaming, their time spent at preschool gives them the opportunity to just be a kid.
At the beginning of the school year (mid-January) we placed our little dreamers in our Student Sponsorship Program with the hope of finding them a sponsor. Thankfully, many have been sponsored, but over 100 preschool students do not have sponsors for 2012.
If we do not find sponsors for these little dreamers, they may not be able to continue studying and more important for them, eating every day.
Our hope is to find a sponsor for each and every one of these little dreamers for 2012, forming relationships that we hope will last for years to come!
Please consider sponsoring one of our little dreamers for 2012! The cost of sponsorship is $190 per year. Payment can be made through a one-time donation or through monthly payments. 2012 sponsorship's must be paid in full by December 31, 2012. Our hope is that sponsors will continue their support in 2013 and beyond.
