82nd Texas State Legislature Update
By Michael Albrecht At the midpoint of the 82nd Texas legislative session, over 30 solar energy related bills have been filed. The deadline for filing expired on Friday March 11, and the bills are now winding through the legislative process. Some are still waiting for committee assignment. Many have been referred to and heard before committee. Some committees have already held public hearing and gathered testimony on certain bills but as of this writing, no bills have passed out of committee to the floor of either chamber for possible debate and vote.
