Welcome

Dear friends -
This month I chose a question from Sonya who wrote to the "Ask Lynn" column on my Facebook Page. She writes about how overwhelmed she's feeling. "I've lost my peace of mind. How do I find it again?"
I wrote "5 Ways to Find Instant Calm" for Sonya. I hope it's helpful to you, too!
Congratulations to Colleen Davis who was our Facebook contest winner last month. She won a signed copy of my book, "Trust Your Gut: How the Power of Intuition Can Grow Your Business." Colleen answered the question about how she uses intuition at work. "Using intuition at work is having an alertness of the moment to moment scenario. Intuition is getting feedback from the energy all around me. I am constantly assessing and it gives me that little extra guidance. Intuition is letting me know where I am at in any particular moment. Intuition at work, like anywhere else, gives me a direction - a "gut" feeling - and I believe I have to trust and heed it. It is there because it is letting me know, like a guide, what I may need to do. We all have it. We just have to first be conscious of it and then have faith to apply it!"
We have a new Facebook promotion for March! You can enter just by clicking on the Promos tab on my Facebook Page. This month we want to hear what your favorite inspirational quote is! The lucky winner will win an MP3 download of my teleclass,"Get out of Your Rut: Creative Ways to Get on Track to Success." The lucky winner will be announced on March 27th. Good luck!

Wisdom Quotes
| "I am going to trust the life I'm born for. I am going to trust my life to teach me what I need to know or grab me by the shoulders and steer, when I'm wandering off my beam. I am going to trust that I will find my way, by finding compassion and patience for myself all along the way as I determine what seems hot and what seems cold in every single moment of my life. I can't do that in my head. I can only do that by paying attention to my feelings, and feeling my way through." - Tama Kieves
"The main reason intuition is so important is this: It is a clear sign that you are connecting with your inner spiritual guidance system. Intuition is a direct signal from your deepest self that you are navigating from your true center." - Gay Hendricks
"Whenever you feel a heaviness, a resistance, or a reluctance to continue, it is a sign that you are not following your highest path. Your higher self speaks to you by making you feel joyful when you follow your higher path, and resistant and heavy when you don't. If you are forcing yourself to do things according to a list of "shoulds," you are not listening to the deeper part of your being. Your soul rarely says, "You must do this; you should do that." Your soul says, "Isn't this delightful? Doesn't this bring you great joy? Wouldn't you love to do more of it?" - Sanaya Roman

Dear God: Send Money! - e-Course
|
You've said your affirmations. You've visualized. You've written your "ideal life" goals in your journal and the money still isn't flowing in! What do you do now? Many of you have written to me asking for techniques and ideas about attracting more prosperity (MONEY!) into your life. I've written a thirty-week e-Course on the topic to help provide some answers.I wrote this course because I believe each of us has been given all the resources we need to accomplish the mission we came here to fulfill. We learn to create abundance in our lives and in our world through the power of our thoughts and the connection of our Spirit. Many of us have not only forgotten our life purpose, we have also forgotten how to use the tools that forge the path to prosperity, success, love and health.
In the "Dear God: Send Money" thirty-week e-Course you'll find tools, exercises, inspirational quotes and techniques to help you create financial as well as spiritual abundance. Read more about it on my website, www.LynnRobinson.com.

"Ask Lynn" How Do I Make My Dream a Reality?
|
QUESTION: Lately everything seems to overwhelm me. I have two kids under six, a full-time job and a mom who has been sick. I've always been someone who can handle stress and chaos. I'm not sleeping well and I'm feeling irritable with myself, and everyone around me. To make matters worse, my intuition seems to have gone into hiding. I've lost my peace of mind. I need to get my mojo back! Any advice? - Sonya N.
ANSWER:
Dear Sonya -
I think you speak for a lot of us when you talk about being overwhelmed. It almost seems like a badge of honor to some when they claim to be "crazy busy." When did that get to be a good thing?! You're right when you observe that, from a place of anxiety, it's very difficult to listen to the still, quiet voice of your intuitive wisdom.
Here are my top five tips for finding instant calm:
1) Choose a Calming Phrase When I'm feeling really agitated and anxious, I like to bring to mind a line in the book A Course in Miracles. It says, 'I could choose peace instead of this.' I'll take a few deep, calming breaths and ask myself, 'How else could I be thinking about this?' or 'What would bring me peace in this situation?'" Sometimes the best thing to say is the most simple, "This too shall pass." Or, "I can deal with this."
If a spiritual approach is comforting to you, simple phrases or mantras may be helpful to keep you centered and connected to Spirit. My favorites are:
* I am loved and protected.
* I feel God's peace flowing through me now.
* I am a child of God.
* Peace be with me and also with you.
2) Make Your Own Happiness a Priority
If you're feeling consistently overwhelmed, I guarantee that you have put your own needs on the back burner. Think about what restores you. It could be a hot bath, a chat with a girlfriend, a date with your spouse or a healthy and delicious meal. If you don't make time for your own restoration, overwhelm sets in. It may sound selfish to put your own needs first. However, once your needs are met, you will be far more capable of successfully dealing with all else in your life.
Also, consider starting your day with a self-care ritual. Perhaps you could get up a few minutes before the rest of your family. Depending on your interests, you could spend a few minutes meditating, praying or writing in your journal. Doing some gentle stretches is a good way to center yourself. You might find a book of daily inspiration to read. Keep the message in mind as you go through your day.
3) Learn this Secret Spiritual Technique
I wrote about "The Surrender Box" technique several years ago in this newsletter. Since then I've received so many letters telling me about the great results people have achieved by using it! Here's how it works...to read the rest, please visit Ask Lynn. |

Some of my Favorite Things

I love attending the Kripalu Yoga Center in Lenox, MA. If that's too far for you to travel for a workshop, consider listening to some interviews with their wonderful speakers!
I have some podcasts on intuition on my website as well.
One of the most visited links on my site is the prayer and meditation section. You'll even find the highly popular "Prosperity Prayer."
"Sounds True" has created an interactive guide designed for people who have heard about meditation but don't know where to begin. To make it easy for you to learn how to meditate, they've created five categories, each of which includes exercises you can try right now.
