1. Welcome
Dear Friends -
Last week was the beginning of what we hoped would be a relaxing one-week vacation in Maine. On the drive up, I commented to my husband, Gary, that I felt blessed, as if there was a Divine presence with us on the trip. I would soon learn that was so true. We had many angels with us (in human form) in the hours to come.
Just before our trip, Gary noticed our car was starting a bit rough and brought it in to our mechanic to check it out. It turned out to be the starter motor. It was replaced, declared good to go, and we were set for the trip.
 We decided to stop in Kittery, Maine at the local Starbucks for my favorite iced soy latte before we got to our rental cottage just a few miles away. Gary was in the car perusing some maps and I went in to place the order.
As I was standing in line, a woman (Angel #1) rushed in and yelled "There's a car on fire in the parking lot! Does anyone have an extinguisher?!" Little did I know, it was our car and that our vacation plans were about to get seriously altered. To read the rest of the story visit my blog.

4. The Secret Power of Your Intuitive Mind

Our role is to listen to our intuition, trust its guidance, and learn to act on it step by step in our lives." - Shakti Gawain
Every moment of every day you receive information about whether you are on course or off course. You have a finely tuned spiritual radar called your intuition that, if heeded, can make sure you're headed in the direction of your dreams.
I've often thought of inner guidance as being broadcast from an infinite intelligence. I liken it to a stream of radio waves. They're invisible. You can't see or hear them unless you make an effort to tune in. Make a daily effort to lock on to channel W I S E.
Developing intuition is like learning any new skill or talent. The more you practice it, the better you get at it. Over time you become attuned to the Divine Intuition frequency which allows you to hear the broadcast that directs you to the right path. It's not so different from perfecting other skills. I love to cook. I know that the addition of a certain combination of spices can make my dish a success or a disaster and I pay attention to the feedback from my sense of taste to know whether I'm on the right track.
It's the same with intuition. You can begin to pay attention to the subtle nudge, inner voice or gentle stirrings that make up the combination of ingredients that go into your personal mix of inner guidance. When you develop your abilities through asking questions and staying alert to the gentle inner promptings of your guidance, your life begins to change.
A client named Megan recently sent me a note and put it this way: "I no longer feel alone in the world. I understand now that the thoughts and ideas that make me feel excited and glad to be alive are part of my intuitive guidance system. They show me the way to my life purpose. It's as if there is a kind friend and mentor out there in the Universe who supports my dream. My job is to dream that dream big enough and be willing to take the necessary steps to make it happen. I receive information about how to do that through my intuition."
I think Megan is on to an important truth. Many of us harbor the fear that we're not doing "God's will" if we simply move in the direction of our dreams and passions. Julia Cameron writes in The Artist's Way, "We are not accustomed to thinking that God's will for us and our own inner dreams can coincide." It sounds too easy and somehow superficial. How do you know when what you are doing is part of your life purpose, your mission, or to put it in more Christian terms -- God's will?
I believe we were given a guidance system or set of inner instructionsto help us stay on course and to understand our soul's journey here on Earth. It makes sense to me that if you feel bad, guilty, filled with fear, lack energy or are chronically worried about a situation, then that should be taken as feedback that you're off track somewhere in your life. Conversely, if you are in a good-feeling place and in general your life is filled with small joys, hope, productive work, good friends and a sense of purpose, you're on track.
Be willing to accept the possibility that you are being guided each step along the way. You are not alone. God wants you to be happy, to live a life of joy, love and hope. Pay attention to the wise guidance available to help you find your path. Remember to ask for help. You are tuned to an Infinite Intelligence that broadcasts love, acceptance and wisdom. It is there to shine light on your path -- step by step. Your greatest desire is always God's wish for you. Breathe deeply, let go, trust, tune in, have faith and keep moving.
