High Renewal Rates For 2012 Return to BC Place

Thank you to those who have submitted their contracts and deposits on time. Space allocation for BC Place is well underway.

 

We feel confident about being able to accomodate renewing exhibitor space requests based on seniority.

 

Show Manager Eric Nicholl and Judy Richardson are in the process of contacting renewing and new exhibitors to discuss their space assignments.

  

In-Water Venue Moves To Granville Island!

 

GranvilleIslandMarinaOnce again the show will have an In-Water venue for boats to be displayed and we are excited to announce its new location.

 

In 2012 the In-Water venue will be relocating to the Granville Island Maritime Market and Marina.

 

The change in venue was designed to ensure the continued growth and success of the Vancouver International Boat Show and we are confident that this move will deliver on its strategic objectives.


The Granville Island Maritime Market and Marina is an excellent destination venue and a local attraction within the city of Vancouver; its dock space and surrounding supporting businesses are sure to cement the In-Water venue as a 'must-see' component of the Vancouver Boat Show.  

 

We'd like to thank the In-Water exhibitors for their input related to the venue options in the recent months; we apreciated your support and patience through the process and look forward to your participation at Granville Island.

 

In-Water Exhibitor Space Renewals

 

GranvilleIslandArialWith the relocation to Granville Island confirmed, In-Water exhibitors will be contacted directly to discuss their space renewals.

 

Please watch your in-boxes for your renewal package as they will come via email within the next few days.

Exhibitor Get Together Set For December 1st

We will be holding an Exhibitor Get Together at BC Place on Thursday, December 1st. 

 

The Get Together will serve as an opportunity to tour the new building and answer any questions you may have about the show's return to BC Place in 2012.

 

Please meet at the Gate 'A' main Show entrance situated off Beatty Street at 3:15pm.
 
The walk through is scheduled for 3:30pm-5pm.
 
There is metered parking surrounding  BC Place as well as pay parking located at the West end of BC Place

2011 BC Marine Industry Conference -
November 30th - December 1st

 

BCMTA1On November 30th & December 1st, members of the recreational marine industry will come together to learn, share experiences and have some fun!  The BCMTA has finalized the 2-day program that is sure to result in a win for your business.

 

An incredible line up of speakers and interactive and informative sessions has been designed to help your business succeed. For a sneak peek at the speakers and topics being discussed, click here.

 

Special sessions on December 1st will specifically relate to the Vancouver International Boat Show. LindaWaddell

 

Show Director for the Vancouver Boat Show Linda Waddell will provide an overview of the Show's future direction.

 

Combining input from consumers, exhibitors and committees, a new course has been set for 2012 that will ensure the show continues to evolve and remains strong and effective for the industry. Listen as Linda discusses the show's strategic objectives, what you can expect in 2012 and what you can do to set your business up for a successful show.

 

Also, North American consumer and trade showRobinJohnston educator, Robin Johnston of Face-to-Face Marketing will share the key elements of successful exhibiting, with a particular focus on sharpening exhibitor staffing skills and leveraging opportunities for pre-show marketing through the use of social media.

 

Additional information will be provided in next weeks newsletter to register for the December 1st session of the conference.

located in the heart of Richmond.

Fraudlent Hotel Calls Are Being Made to Exhibitors

It has come to our attention that an agency not affiliated with the Vancouver Boat Show is contacting exhibitors regarding hotel reservations.

 

We strongly recomend that you do not return their phone calls or provide them with any of your personal information as they are not authorized suppliers to the show.

 

The caller may state that they've noticed you haven't made your hotel reservation, or that the room block is full, and that he can take your reservation.

 

The caller may identify himself as 'Chris' from the Vancouver Boat Show or Convention Housing.

 

This person is not with the Vancouver Boat Show and their company is not a travel agent for the Vancouver Boat Show.

 

The Vancouver Boat Show does not endorse, cooperate or collaborate in any matter with any hotel resrevation company.  Please feel free to contact our office at any time to confirm if a caller is an official show supplier or to report suspicious calls
