Greetings Sombrero Time Families!
In the coming week, we will continue to work on student dialogues in pairs. We have a small play that we are working on developing, but first we will be spending two weeks on these dialogues. The content came from the stories we wrote for our calendars, which are coming home soon! Generally speaking, the students demonstrate more understanding and knowledge of the language in written form. It is our objective to reinforce their speaking skills with questioning directed by Sra. Carolina as well as giving them many opportunities for speaking to each other.
As mentioned last week, we continue to work on the various forms of present tense. We are questioning the students during the opening conversational time in a way that would mobilize all forms of the present tense. So in addition to the basic present tense conjugations of -ar, -er, and -ir verbs, we continue to practice modal verbs and the present progressive (see the examples below).
