Broadband investment panel discussions to occur in Centergy region
| |
In keeping with our mission to support infrastructure for business growth, Centergy partnered with the Public Service Commission to develop a local task force of experts that has identified broadband deficiencies. These efforts tie into a statewide initiative called LinkWisconsin, to promote the availability and sustainable adoption of broadband Internet access.
While we have identified barriers to broadband access, our attention has now turned to how we fix those problems. To this end, Centergy is hosting a series of panel discussions with public and private industry experts on Tuesday, November 8 from 4 to 6pm on the UWSP campus. Please contact our office for more information.

Centergy to sponsor BioForward Next Generation Jobs Luncheon
In our effort to further develop the industries involved in biosciences - health, energy, and agriculture - Centergy is pleased to co-sponsor an event on Thursday, October 20 at Prevention Genetics in Marshfield. CEO Jadin of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation will kick things off with MACCI's ribbon cutting for Prevention Genetics at 10 am. This will be followed by a luncheon presentation, hosted by Centergy, and a discussion about pending legislation called 'Next Generation Jobs Act' which would create a self-funded reserve fund from new income taxes from the bioscience industry. This legislation is part of the "Back to Work" special session of the legislature. We are pleased that Paul Fowler, WIST Executive Director, has joined the Centergy board and is leading our bioscience focus in our plan of work. We see great value in closer collaboration among Centergy, the Wisconsin Institute for Sustainable Technology and BioForward.
There is no cost to attend the event. Please email your registration to bfleisner@centergy.net.
DATE: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2011
TIME: 10AM - TBD
PLACE: PREVENTION GENETICS, MARSHFIELD
Hope to see you there.
Best regards,
Barb

Manufacturing First event to help increase sales for local companies
|
Centergy is pleased to promote to you the Manufacturing First event to be held on Wednesday, October 26. At the event, Wisconsin manufacturers will be able to showcase industry advances, highlight successes, announce their latest developments and provide premier networking opportunities.
In order to increase sales of our Central Wisconsin manufacturing companies, the Centergy manufacturing steering committee has identified a strategy to link local companies to new supply chains. Due to the fact that a large amount of military contracts have been acquired in northeastern Wisconsin, we hope that you take the time to make these connections. In working with the conference organizers, Centergy has been given a certain number of registration discounts for our local manufacturing companies at a rate of $35. For more information, please visit the conference website HERE.
Should you wish to attend, please contact the Centergy office for your online registration discount code.
