Marantz M-CR603

Have you heard about the M-CR603 Network Stereo CD Receiver? This little powerhouse packs a wallop. As a member of the Marantz receiver line, it first follows the heritage of great sound quality. It features a surprisingly compact chassis at 1" wide and 4" tall and is perfect for many applications where a smaller chassis is desired but reduced performance or powerful features are not acceptable.

It boasts four twenty-watt channels within the compact chassis that can be used in two ways. One pair can go to a right and left speaker pair and the second pair can be used in a different room/zone. Or, to improve the performance of a single pair, the amplifier channels can be assigned to be used to bi-amplify a pair of speakers whose binding posts allow individual amplification of high frequency section and low frequency section independently.  The result is a powerful difference as each amplifier section is focused on a narrower range. The speakers see independent amplifiers and when a demand is made on one frequency area, only one of the amplifier pair is seeing the large demand, the other is able to continue to amplify without a large draw on it's responsibility.

The disc player is versatile as well. It is able to play discs coded in CD-DA, CD-R, CDRW, including WAV, MP3 and WMA file formats. This allows many opportunities to make custom discs to play on this system from a computer. With compressed file formats such as MP3 a single CDR can store countless songs. With a compression rate of 192kbps [1.4 MB per minute]  to 128 kbps [1 MB per minute] and an average song length of 3 minutes, one can store anywhere from  160 to 233 songs per disc and play their library on their M-CR603.

The M-CR603 is a networked receiver. Your client is no longer limited to the local AM/FM stations and the disc player. Their world is opened up to literally millions of songs and programming to chose from. Internet Radio is one of the unique sources available to listen to. The choices are almost limited. Listen to programming as varied as you can imagine and from stations from anywhere in the world. The easy to use service inside the M-CR603 makes it simple to cruise the world's almost endless programming.
