MMH Survey: Wood Pallets 84% of Market

Modern Materials Handling has announced the results of their latest reader pallet survey.

Not surprisingly, wood continues to dominate at 84% of usage, with plastic pallet usage at 8% and metal pallets at 2%.

When CHEP Sneezes: The Reusables Market Ripple Effect

Up north there is an old saying that when the U.S. sneezes, Canada catches a cold.

The market for reusable transport packaging and pallets isn't all that different. When new competitors or substitute goods (i.e., innovative products or systems) enter the marketplace, there is predictably a ripple effect. Read more here.
CHEP Parent Brambles Forms U.S. Advisory Board


U.S. strategy is obviously a key focus for Brambles Limited, parent company of CHEP. With this in mind it has created a new Brambles USA Advisory Board. Brambles Chairman Graham Kraehe said: "The formation of this advisory board and the appointment of these two outstanding individuals will assist the Board as it develops Brambles' strategic direction and reflects our commitment to strengthening our stakeholder relationships as we expand in the USA."
