Reusable Packaging News and www.packagingrevolution.net are pleased to present the second of a 3-part series entitled Reusables 101, written by Jerry Welcome, President of the Reusable Packaging Association. One of our key goals is to develop a useful source of information for potential and practicing reusable packaging decision makers. This series is an important early step in the development of our Reusable Packaging Resources section.
The second installment looks at the economic and environmental benefits of reusable transport packaging.
At the AIAG returnable packaging workshop in October 2009, one of the key pain points identified was the challenge of managing reusable pallets and lids.
The upcoming July 21 webinar, presented by AIAG, will highlight results of a recent survey that identifies practices, pain points, and trends in returnable container pallet and lid tracking. Manual vs. automated processes and third party management will be addressed. Bob Furlo from MPC and Camille Chism from Chrysler GEMA will be the presenters.
CHEP,

its commercial relationship with The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, the
world's largest marketer of branded consumer products for lawn and
garden care.
