Jane Eyre

by Charlotte Bronte

jane eyre

If you read it as a child or young adult now is the time to re-read Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. A conventional Gothic romance and true classic, written in 1847, it is also the story of a woman's struggle to define herself within the strictures of nineteenth century English society. Full of passion and drama, and even a mad wife in the attic, one roots for our heroine Jane, no matter what one thinks of Rochester.

Copies are available at the circulation desk. Newcomers are always welcome.

Suggestions or Feedback!

As always, it is important we receive feedback from our user community.  If you have any suggestions for new library programs or feedback on our newsletter content or format, send us an email!

  Join Joe Smiga on
Tuesday, Jan. 11th
@ 7pm

Have you always wanted to write but somehow couldn't find a way to get started? Has ordinary life interfered with your opportunity to put those thoughts on paper to share with the world? Has your manuscript been lying untouched for a decade while you find yourself with too many other things to do?

It is time to take an hour for yourself and join us at the library to hear self-published author Joe Smiga talk about how to bring forth the stories you have always wanted to share. Joe will teach you how to develop content, get over your fear of being blocked, learn about editing and sharing your work and maybe getting published. He has written Behind the Lies, Tova: a Very Special Dog and A Cowboy's Vengeance.

Signed copes of his books will be available for purchase.

Registration Encouraged, but drop-ins welcome.
