for December!
The month of December holds some fun activities at the Wadleigh Library. We have two raffles going on right now the first is for a Chocolate Lovers Basket sponsored by the Children's Room. The second is a Friends of the Library Membership raffle which has been extended until December 15th. Become a friend of the library and maybe you will take home a Barnes and Noble Nook.
This month's Spotlight on Technology focuses on our Online Catalog and a little known feature that allows you to save your favorite searches. Let the catalog send you mail when new books on your favorite topics come in. All the instructions to do this can be found in this newsletter. Have Fun!!
Our Computer Basics programs are available for sign up on Mondays, so check out the calendar and set the date best for you.

 Spotlight on Technology!
Save Your Catalog Searches! Have you searched for a favorite topic in the catalog?Did you know that you can save that search in your account and receive an email when new items are available. Here's How.....
- Log into your Wadleigh Library account using your barcode and pin.
- Run your favorite search, for example "woodworking tools", and then click on "Save Search" (see red arrow below).
- In the next screen enter a search name (blue arrow)
- type in your email address (green arrow),
- choose the search frequency (orange arrow) and
- click the "save search" box.
This search will run every week, looking for new resources on "woodworking tools". Any information on new resources in any of the libraries will be sent to the email address refdesk@wadleighlibrary.org. Each search will include only New items you have not seen before. Set up your favorite search and start receiving email when the newest items come in! Each month we spotlight one of the many online tools available in the Wadleigh Library. We hope you find this information helpful and as always we are here to assist you with these resources. |

Arleen Levenson,
Head of Wadleigh Circulation
will be Retiring.
Arleen Levenson joined the Wadleigh back in 1997. At the end of the year, she will retire after 13 years of service as the Head of Circulation. We will miss her sorely but wish her all the very best in her retirement! Effective January 1, 2011, Mary Ann Shea will take her place as Head of Circulation. Mary Ann has been with the Wadleigh part time for 18 years and we look forward to many more. Be sure to stop in and wish them both well in the new ventures!  |

Families are invited to join New Hampshsire singer, song-writer Steve Blunt for holiday music, stories and fun.
Free Tickets are required and will be available to Milford card holders at the library beginning Saturday, November 27. Tickets will be available to the general public on Wednesday, December 8th.
Those who attend are asked to bring a personal care item (toothpaste, kleenex, shampoo, soap etc.) to be donated to SHARE.

Toddler-Preschool "Holly-Jolly" Dance Party & Crafts Wednesday, Dec. 15th @ 10am This is our annual holiday song & dance party for toddlers & preschoolers. We will provide the refreshments and the crafts. Admission to this party is a personal care item for SHARE-toothpaste & toothbrush, soap, shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper & kleenex. Registration is not required.
