SPOTLIGHT ON!!
MHA Aiken County
MHA of Aiken County's  Executive Director, Lisa Tindal, was featured in the March 8, 2012 publication of  the Aiken Standard newspaper.

Tindal shared her personal reflections and experiences gained as the moderator for MHA Aiken's Survivor of Suicide Support Group in an article entitled "How Can We Improve Our Community?"

The article stated that  "MHA of Aiken County has diligently worked to prevent suicide in Aiken County. Tindal is encouraged to report that for the first time since 2008, Aiken County had fewer than 20 suicides in 2011."

"MHA of Aiken County's mission is to increase awareness, to initiate conversations and to offer support. This coming fall Aiken will host the first "Out of the Darkness Walk" to honor the memory of loved ones who died as a result of suicide. "
Thank you, Lisa for your dedicated service to those suffering from mental illness and the tragedy of suicide in the Aiken community!
