Mental Health Matters Mental Health has to do with how you feel about yourself, how you feel about others, and how you are able to meet and handle the demands of life. It describes the ability to balance problems with the appropriate coping skills.
The mission of Mental Health America of South Carolina (MHASC) is to advocate for the mental health and wellness of the people of our state. Our goal is to transform our society's approach to mental health by working to create a just, humane, and healthy society in which all people are afforded respect, dignity and the opportunity to achieve their full potential free from stigma and prejudice.
In this newsletter, you will learn about some of our ongoing programs and special events coming up in 2012.
We hope you will join us in our efforts to serve the mentally ill in our state and promote mental wellness for all!
