Mental Health America of South Carolina would like to announce our new partnership with the Columbia Children's Theatre in their September production of the musical Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day and the IC HOPE program. "Mental Health Night at the Columbia Children's Theatre" will be held on Saturday night, September 23rd. Find out below how you can get involved!
Would you like to have IC HOPE visit your local Vacation Bible School this summer? Please call the MHASC office at 803-779-5363 to schedule the IC HOPE mascot and an IC HOPE presentation at your local church or community group this summer.
Also, MHASC has trained several new instructors for its suicide prevention program called QPR (Question, Presuade, Refer.) Call to schedule one of these instructors to speak to your church or community group about how to help someone in crisis.

Mental Health America and the Columbia Children's Theatre announce the opening of the children's musical Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
with Special Guest IC HOPE!!!!!
Special Performances of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day will be held on September 16, 17, and 18 and September 23, 24, and 25.
"Mental Health Night at Columbia Children's Theatre" will feature 100 free admissions for MHASC friends and an after-show party with IC HOPE and the cast of the play.
Mental Health advocates are invited to participate in the Mental Health Resource Fair and attend the show for free.
During the week of September 19- 23,elementary school children from neighboring school districts,children from day cares, home school programs and other educational venues will be brought in each morning to enjoy the show and learn from a discussion with IC HOPE about good mental health.
Mental Health America of South Carolina and Columbia Children's Theatre are partnering to use the arts to encourage mental health and well being for children.
MHASC is currently seeking sponsors for this event.
