Greetings!
Welcome to MHASC's first e-newsletter. It's a priviledge to have you as a mental health advocate and friend! There are many exciting things happening in South Carolina and we want to keep you informed. We will always strive to provide you with the most up to date and newsworthy information and we encourage you to share this information with your friends by clicking on the link below.

As always, we welcome your comments and suggestions to make this an e-newsletter you will rely upon for timely and useful information. Thanks again for being a part of the mental health movement in our state because Mental Health Matters!

SOMEONE YOU KNOW

is or has been affected by mental illness or touched by suicide.  They may be suffering right now, and you may not even realize it.  Remember there is hope, there is help and there are resources available for families, friends and individuals.

The staff of Mental Health America of South Carolina wants students of all ages to know we are here to help, and have a number of ways to help you better understand mental illness and suicide.

On the website, students can hear five testimonials of individuals that have seen and experienced the many faces of suicide. Each provides a very different perspective, but forever linked by this often closeted reality.

In 2003, the safest place to suffer a heart attack in the United States was Seattle, WA.  More people were certified there per capita in CPR than in any other city in the country.  Help make South Carolina equally as safe for those suffering a suicidal crisis.  Schedule a QPR training for your organization today.  Contact
