  Leadership Series

Leading Effectively: Influencing Your Team

Consider your leadership. Does it lead in different ways?
Are the management styles a little varied? Do they work?

Effective leadership requires consistency and maintenance. But, with so many different leadership styles and personalities in the workplace, how can consistency be maintained?

According to Michael Clark, “Effective leaders create an environment where people are successful.” Clark, a former performance improvement expert for the state of Florida, believes effective leaders hold influence over their teams. “The amount of influence depends on how well they create an environment of success,” he says.

So, how do effective leaders create such an environment for their team? Listening to Clark talk, it’s easy. “Communicate effectively. Build teams effectively. Delegate effectively. Deal with conflict effectively.” Simple, right? It is, if Clark and the experts of UNF’s Leadership Supervisory Series are your teachers.

This series was designed to give you all the tools to influence your team and effectively lead. If you’re already a leader, Clark reminds “becoming a leader is a life long journey” and requires constant attention.
