Happy 2nd Birthday Yoga Shack!

Karma Yoga

At the beginning of January I lost my beloved pet and dear friend of 13 years, Jett. She was such a great dog, so loving,  friendly and accepting...a true yogi. 

In honour of Jett's memory Yoga Shack has set a goal to raise $1008 for the London Humane Society.  We will be donating 100% of the following classes:

Friday 830 pm Community (Main)
Saturday 4 pm Community (Main)
Sunday 4 pm Karma (Main)

When we are missing our loved ones, dedicating our practise to them can be a very healing process. I am grateful for our students who have been so supportive and many have shared loving stories of their own pets. Some students have also brought in pet food, treats, and toys to add to our donation.  Thank you so much for helping us to achieve our goal and support animals in need throughout London. LOVE xo

New Classes

You asked as we listened.  Thanks to your requests we have added three more classes in February; and we're not done either. We're adding another weekly class beginning March 2.

Our new class additions are:

Sunday 8AM (Main) Level 2 - 90 minutes (FEB)
Wednesday 2 pm (Main) Hot Pilates (MARCH)

If you have any other requests please let us know.  Don't forget we are also available for private group or individual classes. We love hosting birthday parties, bridal events, team building and corporate groups. Email info@yogashack.ca and celebrate in our space or yours.

Member Bio

I don't quite know where to begin. Maybe I should start with, 'my name is Sarah and I'm a yogaholic' - bit corny but true. Once upon a time (about 6 months ago actually) I tried hot yoga for the first time at Yoga Shack.  I wasn't planning on loving it; I wasn't even planning on liking it if I'm honest. I'd never even considered yoga to be real exercise and I had no desire to tie myself into any pretzel knot, thank you very much. Yes, I had bought into the whole lentil eating hippy, yoga stereotype my whole life and it sounded pretty boring to me. I was a gym gal - self-motivated enough to drag myself to 6am spin class every morning for years but never really loving it. I cannot overstate the importance of keeping fit though, keeps me sane (I'm a mom to 3 young boys, nuff said). 

So I tried the $40/40 day intro with a friend.  I wanted her to get into it, not me. Well, that was the plan.  Right off the bat I was hooked.  I started going nearly every day (that hasn't changed by the way; I still get to the Shack at least 5x a week). I *love* hot yoga!  Physically, it's more challenging than the gym ever was.  My body's toning up and I can feel myself getting stronger. I love the peace, acceptance, non-judgmental side of yoga and how you can take that into the real world. My biggest challenge is my ego - I want to master *every* pose and I just can't. I have so much to learn.

I can't say enough good stuff about Yoga Shack and therefore do risk sounding like a walking advert - those who know me will know what I mean. I love all the teachers and their unique and individual styles. It's a welcoming place, full of love, not at all serious and attitude free. And it's contagious. My son comes to family yoga with me and loves it. So many of my friends have joined and I've made a few more. I'm so glad that we have the Shack here in Wortley Village. It's a good thing to be addicted to. Thank you!

The Yoga Shack offers London's most affordable and friendly certified hot yoga, vinyasa yoga, teen/children's yoga, dance, Pilates, Yin Yoga, meditation and pre/post-natal yoga in a casual and environmentally aware space.

We care about our environment, community and neighbours and welcome all students to our studio.

Our goal is to make yoga accessible to all which is why we offer the most affordable Hot Yoga, Yoga, Pilates, Pre/Post Natal Yoga, Karma, and Family yoga in London. We do not believe in trademarking yoga and are open to all. We practise together at all levels and welcome beginners and first timers.
