Dear Friends,
Shalom from the World Prayer Assembly in Sentul City, Bogor, Indonesia. God's spirit is moving powerfully here among His people as we gather together from around the globe to worship His name and seek His face. It is truly a blessing to see the fruit of prayers being answered as we seek to walk out Jesus' High Priestly prayer for unity, John 17.
On Sunday morning I arrived at the airport in Jakarta, Indonesia with my brothers Mark Mudri, Gregory Vijayendran and Adrian Chang and began to meet friends old and new who came to join in this amazing gathering. We then drove one hour+ south of Jakarta to Sentul City, a beautiful place full of wonderful people. This a city that has been set apart for God by the believers in Indonesia and is host to one of the key World Prayer Towers and the Sentul International Convention Center.
Sunday afternoon and evening afforded the opportunity to come together with facilitators from all of the various prayer tracks, and to continue to seek the Lord for His guiding for the Law and Justice track.
On Monday, we drove together into Jakarta's city center for a meeting with over 700 Christian business leaders, brought together by over a dozen marketplace ministries. We were hosted by a friend of Mark Mudri's, Ardian Kristanto and his two sons, Kenneth and Antonius. It was a powerful time of fellowship, worship and testimonies of God's moving among those in the marketplace of Indonesia.
Then Monday night began the opening plenary session of the World Prayer Assembly. Over 8000 have gathered here from 80+ nations. It was a glorious time of worship together led by praise teams from Indonesia and South Korea, the co-host countries for this event.
Tuesday begins Day Two and the prayer tracks after lunch. One special prayer request: the Law & Justice track was accidentally left out of the WPA guidebooks so only announcements about its time and location will be made from the plenary stage. Please pray that the Spirit will move on the hearts of those who need to be there with us.
Another update will be forthcoming tomorrow. Thanks again for your continued prayers for Advocates.
May the Lord bless and keep you in His perfect. . .
Grace and Peace,
Brent McBurney
