Greetings,

I really appreciate you reading and giving me feedback regarding this newsletter. It is an honor and privilege to write for you about health and preventive issues.

Each month I have been writing from a brilliant manifesto about how we can take control of our  health. I am wrapping it up in the next couple of months and would like to say it has been a radical and honest look into our patters as a society and how it trickles down to affect each one of us. I hope you are enjoying this series!

QUICK FIXES ARE NOT ALWAYS THE BEST WAY

There is no magic way to solve our foundational problem of making unhealthy choices; no pill or elixir is going to solve what we're wrestling with now. So instead of squandering  valuable time and money on miracle cures, I encourage you to invest in making healthy life changes for the long haul!

  • "If you're having trouble with that, know that you are not alone. You are not a bad, weak, lazy or doomed person - you're just up against some tough opponents.
  • If you're willing and determined, you can defeat them.
  • It may require developing new skills, strategies and perspectives.
  • It might mean connecting with new support systems and role models.
  • It could mean nursing some healthy indignation and cultivating some well-deserved self-compassion.
  • Almost certainly, it will require connecting with your own deepest sources of healthy motivation and stoking them into revolutionary action.
  • All this takes time and awareness and a willingness to experiment. And there's no better time to start than now." (revolutionaryact.com)

As a small business owner, I have carefully been building my practice

over the past 5 years. The next step in my growth was to be under my own roof and that goal became a reality as of March 1st 2010. Please feel free to see me in my new home. Most insurances are accepted (either under my name or under my Medical Director, Sharonelle Simmons MD). I continue to appreciate your referrals-it's the best compliment I can receive!

I look forward to seeing you!

Sincerely,
