SIGNAGE TYPE: VEHICLE GRAPHICS WRAP
When you are in the cleaning business, your brand and graphics need to communicate that dealing with you brings cleanliness, order, and more comfortable surroundings. And in 2012, your look also has to speak about sustainability and your ecological mindset. That's exactly the look that Dura Cleaning has carefully created for their brand.
Starting out as a carpet cleaning company in 2009, customers began to ask for additional cleaning services too. Now, two years later their business has grown by 70% and they have seven staff.
Dura Cleaning provides services to residential clients in Greater Vancouver's suburban areas in both apartments and homes. They also have affordable cleaning packages for commercial clients, many being in downtown office towers. They take pride in offering environmentally friendly cleaning and reliable service.
For Dura Cleaning, using vehicle signage was an obvious choice. "Now people tell us that they see our name all over town!" said co-owner Oana Tanase. When other people regularly see our cars at their neighbour's homes and businesses, they call Dura Cleaning too!"
Like most wise startups, they are rolling out their brand strategy in phases, based on tight budgets. The first vehicle graphics Dura Cleaning had done by Signarama Richmond were digitally printed magnetic signs with some perforated vinyl on the back window. "Signarama Richmond did a great job on our first van and we got more customers as a result of that advertising", said co-owner Juan Aboytes.
Encouraged, they opted for a partial wrap of their second vehicle, a station wagon. A wrap is when the artwork is printed onto special vinyl and the vehicle are partially covered with the vinyl graphics. Wrapping is an excellent solution when the colour of the car paint doesn't enhance decal-type graphics.
