Says Haines, "This new LED sign provides a powerful way to highlight the amazing line-up of cultural performances we offer to the Richmond community."
Gateway's new sign has a brilliant matrix of red LED lights announcing the Gateway's roster of enjoyable cultural productions, and promoting upcoming theatrical presentations, musical, school and community events. Above the message centre is a light box featuring Gateway's logo.
Signarama Richmond owner, David Newman, was happy to co-sponsor the sign, saying, "Signarama is committed to supporting the City of Richmond and the Arts and this new sign is a valuable asset for our entire community. Gateway is close to my heart as performing arts run in my family."
Outfitted with the latest in LED technology the sign is connected to powerful software that allows content to be pre-programmed and easily scheduled with very little administration. Digital signs offer businesses and organizations instant and programmable messaging capabilities. More advanced displays can show fine detail in photographic imagery.
Signarama's John Montgomerie, a 30 year sign industry veteran, oversaw the construction process for the sign's base, pole, and electronics. "We had to work around buried gas and power lines when we installed the concrete", says Montgomerie, "but we did it safely and efficiently".
Signarama Richmond won the Richmond Chamber of Commerce New Business Award in 2009 and while locally owned, it's affiliated with a world-wide sign company with over 950 locations.
