About Us

Founded in 1965, the Chinese-American Planning Council, Inc. (CPC) is one of the largest nonprofit providers of educational, social, and community services for Asian Americans in the United States. It now serves over 8,000 people daily through some 50+ programs in 25 locations citywide. CPC's mission is to improve the quality of life of Chinese-Americans in New York City by providing access to services, skills, and resources toward the goal of economic self-sufficiency and integration into the American mainstream.

CPC Japanese Sake Tasting
& Silent Art Auction

Two hours of Sake & Food (all you can eat & drink) with presentations by various Sake vendors and the opening of the CPC Silent Auction for 2 Chinese paintings by Choi Chor Foo.

Proceeds from admission and the silent auction will go to the "One Community. One Goal. Walk For Our Future." 2012 CPC Walkathon.

On the night of the Japanese Sake Tasting, CPC will also open its Silent Auction of Choi Chor Foo paintings (both featured above).

With his unique training across the globe, Choi Chor Foo has become a famous oil painter known for his blend of Eastern painting techniques with Western aesthetics. In his
decades as an artist, Choi Chor Foo has had his artwork shown across international waters in over a hundred solo and joint exhibitions.  He has held esteemed positions such
as the exclusive painter of famous galleries such as OK, S.L. ASSOCIATE, SOUGHER LEONARD ASSOCIATES, etc. His oil paintings have been well received at auction houses such as Sotheby's and Christie's as well.
