| Greetings! |
WOW, What a start to 2009! Mother Nature sure can mix things up can't she. We hope everyone is staying warm and our thoughts and prayers go out to those of you who had to go without power or had damaged property due to the recent winter storms. If you are like Jeff and I you can't wait for Spring and to get out and enjoy your wonderful finned pets this year. We can't wait to see you this spring. We will be re-opening March 1st and will have all of our New Fish and Plants in around the first of April. Until then we hope you enjoy this issue of Pondering Thoughts.
Stay Warm and see you in a couple of months.

Spring Maintenance Information/Registration |
|
With the recent winter weather Spring Pond Maintenance is probably the last thing on your mind. However, before you know it you will be outside enjoying the weather and all the wonder and excitement of your beautiful pond/waterfall again, which brings us to the topic of preparing your pond for spring. Mother Nature has a fantastic way of preparing her natural bodies of water for each new season by flooding waterways with fresh rains and melting snow, pushing old water out and refreshing it with new.
In your ecosystem this service needs to be provided manually on an annual basis to help maintain its balance. This means; you've got to get in there, drain and refill, remove any heavy debris that may have accumulated during fall and while you're at it, clean the biological waterfall filter, thin out your aquatic plants, and replace the light bulbs as needed in your underwater lighting systems all while ensuring the safety of your fish and other pond inhabitants.
It's a dirty job, but somebody has got to do it! It's really not as hard as it sounds and for the "Down and Dirty", do-it-yourselfers that are a little nervous we provide detailed instructions to assist you through our Pond Maintenance Seminar on April 11th.
There are important biological and scheduling reasons for cleaning out ponds and and waterfalls from early March through mid-April. If you would like to sign up for a Spring Maintenance service, please download and review the 2009 Spring Maintenance contract. Due to the narrow window we have to properly perform Spring Maintenance we have a limited number of appointments available and require a deposit to schedule Spring Service dates. All Spring Services are performed on a first come first serve basis (See Coupon Below for "Early Bird Savings". |

New Website and Online Store (Click to Visit) |
We have worked very hard this winter designing the perfect online resource for Water gardeners. While we were not able to implement all of the desired functionality into our new website, I am sure that most will agree that we have created the most comprehensive resource for questions and information available for Water Garden enthusiasts. Check out the exciting new features that are available for you to take advantage of.
-
Online Shopping: Our online store is loaded with Great deals and a comprehensive assortment of Water Gardening and outdoor living products. I know many of you probably order online from various other Internet "Pond Stores". However, wouldn't you feel much more comfortable ordering from a local company that can provide you with personalized one-on-one service? Go in and look around. You will quickly see that we are VERY COMPETITIVE in our pricing on all products and you will receive FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $150. Check back often as we are adding additional products daily.
-
Q&A Forum: This is possibly my favorite feature to our new website. This is a section dedicated to you (Our Customers). You can post questions and get answers not only from us but also from other pond enthusiasts. You can share your favorite pictures, meet new friends, etc. The possibilities are endless. Rachel and myself will actively participate in the forum by posting fun facts and answering any questions. We hope that all of you will visit and participate in our new forum and help build the areas first online pond community. NOTE: As with any new forum we are getting several "spamming" users that are trying to promote themselves through us. Please bear with us while we are eliminating these and please report any suspicious activity you may see immediately. |
