Just around the corner:
December 1 - 24
With even more artists this year--this is your go-to spot for local, late night and luscious holiday shopping.

December 10 & 11
By far my favorite holiday show. This will also be significantly expanded this year. Not only is CAF a great place to find locally made gifts, you also get to hear some great live music and help support some great non-profit endeavors.

It's been busy around here this past month, but I still managed to find the time to pick up a new obsession! Right now I'm completely enamoured with modifying the finish of the tins. Distressing the surface brings a new aged, matte effect and creates a unified feel among once disparate tins. I'll be debuting several new pieces using this look during the East Austin Studio Tour and have also listed a few pieces in my ETSY shop.

This is the easiest thing in the

world to make, yet it always

seems to surprise and delight.

It's total comfort food for me and isn't Thanksgiving without it.

Homemade Applesauce

Servings: 8 small portions

Ingredients:
4 McIntosh Apples
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp sugar*
1/2 to 1 tsp cinnamon*
dash of nutmeg
pat of butter

Directions:
1. Pour the water in a medium-size pot, and set heat to medium-high.

2. Peel and dice apples. Place in the pot. You'll notice that only a small portion of your apples are covered in the water. No worries... your apples will start to reduce down to a quarter of the original size of the pot. Cook on medium-high for about five minutes. Reduce heat to medium and simmer apples stirring occasionally. Once your apples have reduced and broken down into very small pieces , and add the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg & butter. Stir well. Done! Serve either warm or cold.

*Adjust sugar and cinnamon to taste. If you can't get it quite right, consider adding the smallest dash of salt.
