Dear Friends of the Peace Village,

We are coming into a beautiful Summer here in the sacred valley. The Peace Village has been mowed, gardens are being weeded, the water has been turned on and teachings bless our lives. It is good.

The land is vibrant with prayers made at the fire. There are many ways to join in the activities here year round. There are weekly meditation practices, new moon ceremonies, teachings in the Cherokee, Nigma and Drikung Buddhist traditions. It is possible to camp on the land, enjoying the beauty all around. It is also possible to volunteer your time to the care of the land.

The Elder's Gathering is the last weekend of July. For this there are many preparations.  To register, click here.

There are many ways to contribute to these good works. Participation on all levels benefits so many.

We invite you to join in our efforts to support the ceremonies, medicine and teachings offered on this land by creating an easeful well cared for infrastructure.

Sunray, Beautyway, Aniunwiwa, Vajra Dakini all contribute to the offerings here. As the Land Trust, we hold the piece of keeping the land and buildings in good repair.

Each year we seek to improve to bath houses, road maintenance, water system, kitchen equipment, tools/mowers/chain saws/ etc....

There are utilities, taxes, caretakers, insurance costs on a regular basis as well.

This time of year is when we really need an influx of "green" energy to ensure we have the land ready for the people who come to be comfortable.

There have been several generous people working to keep the land well maintained. We invite you to join us in our efforts. Let's be able to say there are many/thousands/ of generous contributors!

Right now we have to pay:
$700 propane
$700 insurance
~ $ 1500 lawn and tree care
~ $ 1500+ well improvements

To repair the road in full will cost about $6000. (We have been patching it the best we can.)
There are many projects, therefore many ways to give.

Please offer what you can, a few dollars each can really add up.
If you feel called to offer more to sponsor a project or activity, please be generous.

Please give freely, often and without expectation. If we all do this the land will flourish and the teachings will grace our lives for many generations.
