Message from the Sunray Peace Village

Dear Greetings!,

Below, there is a very nice invitation to join and support the Land Trust.  As one of the founders of the Land Trust, I would like to add my personal invitation to you to make as generous an offering as you are able to to preserve this amazing place.

For me, every time I walk upon the land, I feel that I am healed.  I tried to capture that feeling in one of the earliest blog posts on the Peace Village blog -- Live a Peace Village Life.  At the end of that blog, I wrote:

"The Peace Village is there for you to find your place of peace within, to live a Peace Village life for the benefit of all your relations and the health of the Earth. Please come. Please return often. You will be very glad that you made the investment."Blue sky above the Peace Village

Making the investment means taking the time to come and walk and pray upon the land, to benefit yourself, your family, and all your relations.  It also can mean becoming a steward of the land by offering some of the green energy needed to pay the bills for mowing the grass, plowing the snow, adding gravel to the road, fixing and testing the natural spring water well, repairing the bathrooms, paying the taxes, and covering all the other costs for the land.  The annual budget of the Land Trust is modest -- $27,000 a year.  That expense is not close to being covered by camping fees.  Generous offerings from those who care about the land are always needed.

Personally, I always give at least $500 annually to the Land Trust, more in years like this one when an expensive project like fixing and testing the water well is required.  I mention that not for any credit, but to let you know that larger contributions are always needed in addition to those who can give $50 for a single membership or $85 for a family membership.  And, of course, offerings of any amount are always welcome and appreciated.

So, please make an offering or sign up for a membership.  Donations are accepted by

Thank you,

Sunray Peace Village Land TrustThe Peace Village supports many joyful activities: our year-round sacred fires, our ceremonies and celebrations, our gatherings in the arbor to pray with our relatives and ancestors, the annual Elders' Gathering, and the teachings of countless special beings. It is a sacred danceground, and a vibrant manifestation of the vision of Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo.

In return for the generosity of our land, we commit to taking care of it; the Sunray Peace Village Land Trust is a membership organization whose sole charge is to maintain the land, the buildings, and right relationship with the many beings who dwell in and around the Peace Village - our four-legged, two-legged, flying, swimming, and multi-dimensional neighbors.

We invite you to join the Sunray Peace Village Land Trust and help to support this vital land we all hold dear. Family memberships are $85 per year; individual memberships are $50 per year. Larger donations are appreciated. Your contribution will enable the Land Trust to:

  • pay for building, equipment and grounds maintenance, gas, electricity, telephones, snowplowing, lawn mowing, insurance, and a summer caretaker, as well as contribute to the completion of special projects.

This year, those special projects include plans to:

  • fix and test the natural water well that supplies the Peace Village,
  • continue to repair the road to the Arbor, and
  • continue repairing and renovating the bathhouses.

Membership is one way to signify your participation in the circle of reciprocity that enfolds us all. Your Land Trust membership also gives you reduced camping fees.  All donations are also tax-deductible.

So please join us. If you have been a member in the past, please renew your membership.

If you have ever invited friends to an Elders' Gathering or ceremony, or simply know people who might be interested in supporting this unique Peace Village, please consider inviting them to become members as well.

Thank you.
