Hispanic Influence on Mainstream Culture QuantifiedA

Wing & Experian Simmons released findings of the Latino Influence Project; a study that quantifies the influence of the Hispanic culture on mainstream culture.

According to "The Latino Influence Project," when compared to non-Hispanics who live in areas with a low density of Hispanics, non-Hispanics living among Hispanics are three times as likely to be interested in other cultures and love the idea of traveling abroad. They are also twice as likely to use their cell phones and the Internet for information and entertainment, amongst other activities.

With one of out of six U.S. residents being Latino, it's no surprise Latino's have such a strong influence on the mainstream culture. As Hispanic members are exposed to your credit union, they are also influencing your credit union culture while, at the same time, you are influencing their view of financial service providers. As we celebrate all things Hispanic during Hispanic Heritage Month, take this opportunity to reach out to your board members, your management teams, your staff and your members and remind them why your credit union finds it important to reach and serve the Hispanic community.

Begin 2013 by Increasing Membership, Growing Revenue and Boosting Loan Volume

It's no secret that if you want to increase membership, grow revenue and boost loan volume, you must include Hispanics as part of your growth strategy.

Unfortunately, many credit unions have encountered many challenges translating this opportunity into tangible results, but it doesn't need to be that way!

Dozens of Coopera clients have found that Coopera's proven approach creates results! Here is a recent testimonial from the Guardian Credit Union in Milwaukee, WI:

"I recently engaged Coopera to perform a Hispanic Member Analysis (HMA) report and was very pleased with the results. I believe that the HMA was the propellant that I needed to push this initiative forward. It allowed my board to really engage in the details, to, in a concrete way, visualize the audience, the needs for this population and the opportunity for our credit union. As a result, there was general agreement to proceed with the implementation of the strategy."

Over the years, Coopera has designed a number of products and services to help credit unions develop sustainable growth in the Hispanic market. Two of these products include:

The Hispanic Opportunity Navigator (HON)
The HON is a strategic planning tool designed to accelerate your credit union into the next phase of growth. This comprehensive assessment has been used by many credit unions to start their Hispanic outreach programs and is proven to save you time and money as you embark on your Hispanic outreach efforts.

Hispanic Strategy Package (HSP)
The HSP is an all-inclusive suite of products and services that not only helps credit unions develop the road map and foundations to a successful Hispanic growth program, it also provides the necessary tools to measures your progress and make sure that you attain your goals in this market. What planning tools do you use to update your yearly Hispanic growth plan?
"Set Your Prepaid Products Apart from the Rest" Prepaid card options are popping up all over the place. But with very little regulatory oversight, these cards' disclosures, fee structures and terms and conditions are all different. This can make choosing the right card option difficult for your Hispanic members. Read more.
