Why Credit Unions Don't Reach Hispanics
Fox News Latino recently published an article on the 10 Reasons why Companies Fail to Reach Latinos, referencing the reporter's own experience in handshakeworking with Fortune 500 companies and the top reasons why management teams fail to capitalize on the Hispanic consumer.

Sound Familiar? Many of those same reasons apply to why credit unions don't reach Hispanics.

Five key reasons preventing credit unions from having a successful Hispanic outreach strategy include:
  1. Not placing strategic importance on serving Hispanics
  2. Not informing and educating staff on why they should be serving Hispanics
  3. Not implementing the right internal systems and processes to serve Hispanics
  4. Not offering products and services that are relevant to Hispanics
  5. Not marketing at the right time or with the right marketing mix

While there are many steps to take in order to successfully serve Hispanics, by taking it one step at a time and reaching out to experts, you can avoid these common missteps and create a successful Hispanic outreach strategy at your credit union.

Are You Planning for Your Credit Union's Future?
As your credit union enters its budget and planning season, don't miss the opportunity to increase members, grow lending and reach Gen Yers.

chess pieceHow? By incorporating a Hispanic outreach strategy into your credit union's strategic plan!

Hispanics are the largest, fastest-growing, youngest and most underserved group in the U.S. If you're intimidated by serving an unfamiliar market, start by getting a customized, strategic plan to help you implement a successful Hispanic outreach strategy.

Coopera's Hispanic Opportunity Navigator will provide you everything you need to jump-start your efforts, including a benchmark of how many Hispanics in your community you could potentially serve through Coopera's Hispanic Membership Analysis.

Don't miss your opportunity to place Hispanic outreach as a high priority for your credit union in 2012.
