Virginia Releases New Super Efficiency Home Appliance Rebate

The Virginia Department of Mines Minerals and Energy just released its "Super Efficient Home Appliance Rebate Program" that is much more generous than its predecessor. Though the requirements are a little more stringent, homeowners will potentially stand to gain far greater results in home energy efficiency.
Talk with your HVAC provider to determine which rebate applies to you. Remember, you need a reservation!

The program is retroactive for equipment installed after October 24, 2011, so here are some rules: - Energy efficient equipment and items (except gas furnaces) purchased and installed on or after October 24, 2011 will be eligible for the rebate if they meet all other eligibility requirements.
- The rebate program will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. You must submit a reservation application online with the Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals, and Energy.
- You will have 30 days from your reservation approval date to purchase, install, and submit paperwork for your appliances. Please review the Virginia DMME website for full rules:

Waitlisted applicants may or may not receive any funding. There is no announced date for the close of the application period nor waitlist and Virginia will not provide individual updates to waitlisted applicants.
