Thankful for you

Greetings!

This week we celebrated Thanksgiving, a day of giving thanks to God for all that He has done in our lives. A time to reflect on where He has brought us and how faithful He is. The Lord provides through the most unlikely of places and in the most remarkable of ways. He is an awesome God!

As I was thinking on the past 3 years living in Panama, and all that God has done, I reflected on the journey. This has truly been a walk of faith. And you all have been on this journey with us. Matt and I want to send a warm THANK YOU to you and your family. Thank you for your love. Thank you for your support, whether financially, through prayer or the other many ways that you all have supported us. And thank you for listening to the Lord. Every time you gave that love and support, you were being the hands and feet of Jesus to us. Thank you. We treasure each of you and are thankful that you have been traveling with us, through all these twists and turns. And we look forward to continuing on with you. Every single one of you can't be in Panama, working with the kids or for the kids every day, but you are a part of this all the same. If you receive this email, then you are someone that cares about this work. So thank you. We are an extension of you all.

We hope you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends. Our family got together with about 90 friends here for a fun time together of fellowship and food! It was a much needed time of celebration. Again, thank you for all you do to help the children of Panama. Thank you for all you do to help us, too. We love you through the love of the Lord.

PAPI Update

Several have asked, so I also want to send an update regarding the Panama Adoption Prayer Initiative (PAPI). (Read here in case you missed that email). THANK YOU ALL for your prayers and support regarding this, also. We can see God stirring in the hearts of so many and it is wonderful to view!

The meeting went well on the 24th with the committee. They were able to work through many articles and accomplish a lot. Now, they have decided to have 1 final meeting, on December 15th, so as to review every line and make certain it is ready to be submitted to the legislature. Graciela, our HCCM team member, is in charge of correcting many of the details and making sure that the articles are in agreement with each other, and then sending on to the judges and government officials for their final review.

Please Continue to Pray:

Pray for every detail of the law change: That God's hand would direct each article.
Pray for the timing: That God will move in every heart of every official to make timely decisions and not to delay.
Pray for the politics: That political or personal agenda's and ego's will not hinder this law change.
Pray for the children: That they will be placed in their forever families soon. That institutionalization will not take hold of these children's bodies and minds before they can be adopted.
