Praising the Lord for the life of Sydney Boone Gaylord Greetings! Our dear friend, Sydney Boone Gaylord, just went to be with Jesus this afternoon.  She is in the Presence of her Savior, free from pain and cancer.  Sydney was loved by everyone that met her.  The Lord used her in a mighty way to touch the lives of many.  She fought brain cancer since December 2008 (click on the link to read more of her story).  She fought the good fight.  She finished the race.  I am thankful to have known her and loved her, and to have felt God's love through her.  Even through intense suffering, Sydney showed the love of God.  We are praising the Lord right now for her life.  Please pray for her family.  Her husband, Todd, has served on our Board of Directors since we began in 2008, and Sydney and Todd are both Matt's friends since childhood.  Sydney is the mother of 3 beautiful children: Vail (8), Haven (5) and Boone (2).  Her Mom and Dad, along with the rest of their family are all our dear friends.  We just ask for your prayer for this special family during this difficult time.  The Lord is with them and is showing Himself in new ways to many this day.  Matt received the call yesterday, that the end was near and that Todd wanted Matt to come.  Matt got on the next plane out of Panama and is in Charlotte, NC right now.  Graciela and I will help with the Nick Vujicic event on Wednesday, then I plan to return with Peter to the States for 1 week.  Tonight as Peter and I read his Bible before bedtime, our story just happened to be about Jesus and Lazarus.  His version says, "Jesus sobbed."  That is how today has gone for so many of us that love Sydney.  While we are so sad that we will not be able to see Sydney's beautiful shining face on this earth, we rejoice that she is more radiant than ever and that she is now face to face with the Lord.  Matt read this quote today by Oswald Chambers, and thought it so fitting for Todd, Sydney and their precious family: "Faith never knows where it is being led, But it knows and loves the One who is leading."  That is such a picture of their walk of faith these past few years.    Praising God for Syd, Misty & Matt
