Louisville Sustainable Living Fair

(between Payne Street and Frankfort Avenue)

in conjunction with the Frankfort Avenue Trolley Hop.

 This is a free event and is open to the community

The Fifth Annual Louisville Sustainable Living Fair is offering

Free Sustainability Workshops in addition to over 50 "Green" Exhibitors.

Sustainability represents our quest to live in a manner that allows others (human and non-human, now and in the future) to live with equal or increased access to the essentials of life: clean air, water, soil and healthy foods. This quest represents one of the greatest movements in human history and it is taking root right here in Louisville.

You can experience evidence of these roots at the fifth annual Louisville Sustainable Living Fair.  The Fair makes the hard choices sustainability represents easier by exposing participants to a wide variety of local environmentally friendly businesses, organizations and technologies in a street fair environment.

Among the more than 50 participating vendors and exhibitors are:

    · groups supporting the local and vegetarian food movement;

    · groups supporting change around climate and energy consumption;

    · groups seeking to create a more resilient and sustainable city;

    · groups working for conservation

    · green retailers, local manufacturers and more

The schedule for the free workshops (presented at Clifton Universalist Unitarian Church) is as follows:

    6:00 pm Living Sustainably: in the Household

        Hosted by Tim Darst and Kentucky Interfaith Power and LIght

    7:00 pm Living Sustainably: on the Road

        Hosted by Drew Foley and 350.org

    8:00 pm Living Sustainably: in the Garden

        Hosted by Nate Pederson and EarthSave 

The Louisville Sustainable Living Fair is a great opportunity for those just beginning the journey to sustainability, those looking for the next step on that journey and those who are leading the charge.  Don't miss it.
