A Workshop Designed to Cultivate the Connections Between Nature and Soul
Saturday March 12 9:30 am - 1:00 pm
Instructions for Living a Life
Pay Attention. Be Astonished. Tell About It.
~ Mary Oliver
Through collective and individual exploration of the poetry of Rumi, Mary Oliver, Rainer Maria Rilke, and David Whyte we will invoke, explore and strengthen our awareness of the depths and breadth of our connections to the natural world.
Through repeated readings, silent reflection and group processes we will mine these poems for ever emerging levels and nuances of meaning. During the course of the workshop each participant will have the opportunity to discover and share the unique insights they find hidden within these life-affirming works.

Once Here
Why, then do we have to be human?
Oh, not because happiness exists,
Nor out of curiosity...
But because being here means so much;
Because everything here,
Vanishing so quickly, seems to need us,
And strangely keeps calling to us...
To have been here once,
completely,
even if only once,
To have been at one with the earth -
This is beyond undoing.
~ Rainer Maria Rilke
