Tumtum and Nutmeg: Adventures Beyond Nutmouse Hall Written by Emily Bearn Illustrated by Nick Price
Tumtum and Nutmeg, a quiet mouse couple who live in a splendid house
inside an unused broom closet in Rose Cottage, find themselves secretly
looking after the motherless children who live in the house-mending
their clothes, fixing their broken toys, and generally making sure that
their lives are a little easier. When danger threatens, in the form of
the children's evil Aunt Ivy, some river rats, and a school teacher
tired of looking after classroom pets, the twosome are forced to leave
their quiet lives and save the day. The three stories in this
collection, with charming line drawings, are perfect for families to
read together.

of college. Slowly she begins to experience a life very different from
the constant academic environment her mother, a college professor,
fosters at home. Then Auden meets Eli, a fellow insomniac, who has a
tragic past. As Auden and Eli explore the nocturnal life of Colby, they
