Greetings!
When I realized I was pregnant at 17 (back oh so many

years ago) there were only two viable options for teenage girls to consider: marriage and adoption. As the years have gone by, those two options have given way to the other two options: single parenting and abortion.
This month we'll consider single parenting.

What's a TEEN
Mother to Do?
Taken from the book:Teens Sex and Choices by Marilyn Morris.
In the past few years we have learned a whole new meaning to the term, "Breaking up is hard to do." After going together for two years, Christi and Jake broke up at the end of their senior year in high school. They knew they had to be civilized long enough to sort through all the items they had accumulated during the past two years. They had shared CDs, several computer games and, oh yes, a baby boy.
When Christi got pregnant her junior year, she was convinced she and Jake would be together forever. When the birth certificate was filled out, Christi gave the baby Jake's last name since they planned to get married within a year. Jake was expecting a nice football scholarship. They would get married, move away and live happily ever after. (Read More)

Written by Marilyn Morris, Founder/President
Comprehensive Sex Education is well known for encouraging young people to avoid sex until "You're Sure You're Ready." On the surface, this sounds like great words of wisdom, but here's theproblem with that line of thinking. When two teenagers, whether they're 13 or 19 or somewhere in between, find themselves in the heat of passion, it's easy for them to enthusiastically declare, "WE'RE READY!" But what are they ready for? No doubt their bodies are capable of having sex and the physical desire is definitely real. But if the past few decades have taught us anything - we now know the vast majority of teenagers are NOT ready to become parents. (Read More)

Babies are a Blessing!
At the conclusion of one of our abstinence program, a 16-year-old guy walked up to Aim For Success speaker, Robin Halvorson and said, " I really wish I had seen this program a couple of years ago." When Robin asked why, he went on to say, his girlfriend had just given birth to their baby a few days before. And then he said, "I know babies are supposed to be a blessing. But I'm just wishing my blessing had come a little later in life."

I think that this was beautiful and it made me cry. That's how beautiful it was. 11-yr-old girl
Thank you for showing me this program. It really changed me. I will start stepping up and showing random acts of kindness. 12-yr-old boy

Make a Donation
As school budgets continue to shrink and funding for abstinence programs disappears, Aim For Success is fighting hard to make every penny count. While we do charge for our programs, we are frequently asked to give discounts to our customers in need. We are able to discount programs on occasion because of the generous donations from those of you who support us. If you would like to contribute to help a specific school please contact our office at 972-422-2322 or email Windi Fuller at wfuller@aimforsuccess.org. To make a general contribution to help bring our programs into any school in need please click here.
