For Immediate Release (May 20, 2008) - Camp Champs, LLC has helped 2007 NCAA men's soccer coach of the year Jay Vidovich achieve a sellout of his residential camp, as well as record numbers for all camps offered in conjunction with the Wake Forest University men's soccer program, the company announced today.
Enrollment for Vidovich's residential camp closed May 18 at 425 campers, a 35% increase over last year's 275-person enrollment figure. Vidovich's day camp currently has more than 210 campers registered, nearly double the number signed up at this point in 2007, with more than a month to go in open registration.
"I'm very pleased with my decision to go with Camp Champs," says Vidovich. "Obviously, our team worked very hard last fall in winning the national championship, and I'm sure that is reflected to some extent in our record-breaking camp numbers this year. However, we've been in the NCAA hunt the past several years, so I ascribe a sizeable part of the difference in our success this year to higher awareness and dramatically increased ease of registration thanks to Camp Champs' efforts on our behalf.
"Additionally, I've been in Brazil for several weeks, and to be able to actually leave the country at this critical time in the camp season and know that Camp Champs, with my team at home, has all of this squared away, speaks volumes about my trust in their services. We're very pleased with what Camp Champs has helped us achieve."
"Camp Champs has delivered on every level," says Elizabeth Miller, Administrative Director of Vidovich's camps. "From the development process this fall, when they worked with us around a demanding competition schedule, to the opening of registration at the first of the year and their flexibility in navigating obstacles on our behalf, through to today, when they're accommodating record numbers for us, they've been a committed, responsive and adaptable partner. Having them on our team has made my job easier, and has enabled our coaching staff to continue doing what they do best - looking after our student-athletes and working toward the success of the program." "Having known Jay for almost 20 years now, I'm of course personally very pleased that our company could contribute to his success at this level," says Julie Peck, President, Camp Champs. "Beyond that, however, this story is a great case study for the efficacy of the tools we provide to collegiate coaches and the folks who run their camps. Every product and service we're bringing to market is designed specifically to meet the needs of this audience, and our success with Jay is an indicator that we've identified not only a need in the marketplace but a unique way to satisfy it."
