AND on Wednesday, MAY 12 - 6:30PM - Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band Benefit Dinner & Concert. Both events will be held at The Station House Cafe, in Point Reyes Station, Marin County. www.stationhousecafe.comIt's no secret that our state budget is wreaking havoc on important programs in public schools. The Station House Cafe is hosting a series of fundraising events to make a difference for the children of West Marin Elementary School. At the Ice Cream Social, awards will be presented to the winners of our children's art contest (see details below). Admission is free. Activities, T-shirts and delicious treats will be on sale. All proceeds will benefit the ART PROGRAM at West Marin Elementary School. Join us! WEDNESDAY, APRIL 14, 4-6PM :: ICE CREAM SOCIAL & OLD-FASHIONED CAKE WALK.
Station House Cafe staff and management, as well as school and community members, will be scooping and pouring and conjuring delicious root beer floats & fresh-squeezed lemonade. Friends and neighbors will clamor to buy tickets to the old-fashioned cake walk, hoping for a chance at the lucky number that wins one of Chef Wayne Pratt's beautiful and delicious confections. Student winners of the Station House Cafe-sponsored t-shirt design contest will be announced; prizes distributed. The student-designed t-shirts will be unveiled and sold to everyone in sight. Friends old and young, and young at heart, will gather about to celebrate the wonder of kids and art and community in Point Reyes Station and in the world at large.
