Introduce your child to writing, counting and a classroom environment through arts-focused curriculum. The Preschool at Darlington Arts Center includes music, visual arts, creative movement and drama!

Teachers emphasize creativity, imagination, exploration, and active participation. In art, the emphasis is on process and progress rather than product. Children are encouraged to experiment with a variety of materials and Preschooler Paintingtechniques in order to expand their artistic expression and hand-eye coordination. Music instruction includes listening, singing, moving, and playing rhythm instruments. They develop an appreciation for the patterns and musical variety produced by rhythms and melodies. In drama and creative movement, students engage in role playing and movement utilizing their creativity and imaginations to their fullest.

Arts Salute to Spring 2012
Sunday, March 18, 3-6pm

As a non-profit arts center Darlington depends on contributed income in order to maintain our facilities, provide excellent administration and care for our instruments. We also raise funds to offer scholarships and provide outreach to students in schools who otherwise would have no arts instruction.

Over the years we have had a variety of fundraisers and thank you for your support. This year we have decided to concentrate our efforts on one big event: Arts Salute to Spring! On Saturday March 18 from 3-6pm community members will gather at Concord Country Club for a reception, performances and a live and silent auction.

We need your help in finding sponsors and auction items. Sponsors are individuals and businesses, which support Darlington with a tax deductable gift.

We hope to see you there!

     - Volunteer Special Events Assistants

Leadership at the Darlington Arts Center
Serving on our Board of Directors and the Board Committees is a meaningful way to get involved with the Darlington Arts Center. We're looking for energetic people with an interest in sharing their legal, financial, public relations and marketing expertise. Our Board meets every other month. Board Committees typically meet in months where the Board does not. Board members participate in activities of the full Board and sit on at least one Board Committee.

Interested? Contact Executive Director Susan Nicodemus Quinn at 610-358-3632 x106 or susan@darlingtonarts.org.
