Her paintings are constructed from superimposed layers of paper -- the back layer opaque watercolor paper, the front layers translucent vellum, each with drawing, color and collage, creating a feeling of movement.

Everyone is Welcome!
Totem Pole

Darlington is working with Cheyney University of Pennsylvania and Totem Rhythms to create a community totem pole. Totem Rhythms is an internationally recognized project fostering Native American cultural roots and heritage. This totem will reflect stories of peoples and groups in our community.

Tuesday, May 31 will be a "Talking Circle" facilitated by Native Americans from Totem Rhythms. This is an opportunity to bring friends and neighbors together to share the stories of how they came to the area and feelings about living in Garnet Valley. Please come and join us at noon Tuesday, May 31st!

Help with the creation of the Totem as well! Carving and Painting the Totem will occur under a tent on the Darlington grounds during the daylight hours (9am-6pm) Wednesday-Friday, June 1-3.
