"Art Seen Anew: In Color"
by Virgil R. Carter |
Opening Reception: Saturday, Sept 11, 3-5pm Show Open through Sept 29
"All My Friends Are In The Barn" watercolor by Virgil Carter Carter is a realist painter who prefers landscape and city/townscape subjects, searching out ordinary, often overlooked and forgotten subjects. Through the use of color, he interprets these ordinary subjects reinventing them as colorful shapes and scenes which offer opportunities to pause, see anew and reconsider the many values - joy, happiness, wonder, mystery, ambiguity, uncertainty, nostalgia - that subjects contribute towards enriching our lives.

Special Thanks to
Power Windows & Siding |
for Volunteering at Darlington
For the second year, the Power Windows & Siding office in Brookhaven brought their employees to Darlington to volunteer for any and every thing! They painted the hallways and music studios, hung curtains and chair rail molding, and helped clean out and organize storage spaces. Everyone was generous and enthusiastic to help. We can't thank them enough for their hard work again this year. |

We're looking for energetic people with an interest in sharing their legal, financial, public relations and marketing expertise. Our Board meets every other month. Board Committees typically meet in months where the Board does not. Board members participate in activities of the full Board and sit on at least one Board Committee.
