Leadership at the Darlington Arts Center |
Serving on our Board of Directors and the Board Committees is a meaningful way to get involved with the Darlington Arts Center. We're looking for energetic people with an interest in sharing their legal, financial, public relations and marketing expertise. Our Board meets every other month. Board Committees typically meet in months where the Board does not. Board members participate in activities of the full Board and sit on at least one Board Committee.

Medical Leave Policy 09-10 |
In light of recent concerns about the H1N1 flu and other communicable diseases, we have taken the following steps to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, teachers and staff:
- We have stepped up cleaning and sanitizing of common areas such as door handles, light switches, dance bars, etc.
- We ask faculty, students and staff to be vigilant in washing their hands and we have put extra bottles of hand sanitizer throughout the main hall.
- We ask any child, teacher, or staff member with signs of illness (fever, cough, etc.) stay home and see their primary health care provider. Please keep your child home should he or she have a fever greater than 100 F.
- No student or teacher should return to Darlington unless they have been fever free for 24 hours without aid of Tylenol or aspirin type medicines.
Darlington's Medical Leave Policy
(which has been extended to classes for the 09-10 academic year)
Lessons may be suspended for extended absences of 3 or more weeks due to illness, injury or other emergency circumstances. The office must be contacted immediately and a doctor's note provided so that the student will not be charged for these absences.
Every effort will be made to make up the missed lessons and classes. If lessons or classes are not able to be made up by the end of the term, an in house credit will be issued. | |
