Brushing Up

Improve your artwork by brushing up on several basic painting skills, including value development, composition, and use of line and shape.

Clarifying Color in Oils and Pastels

Demystify the use of color! Using simplified color theory, get a clearer understanding of color value, chroma, and temperature. Use both oil paints and pastels.

Acting for the Camera

Work on commercial copy, film scripts and monologues in preparation for auditions. Open to beginner and experienced students.

Make up your own dances! Learn choreographic techniques and improvisation games to create both solo dances and group pieces. No dance experience needed.

Papier-Mache Animals

Build and paint all your favorite creatures: cute and furry or scaly and scary! Learn how to build up a form and apply papier-mache paste to create light-weight sculptures. Each student will create 3-4 animals.

Learn the rhythms and techniques of the Broadway show "Stomp." Be prepared to make a lot of NOISE!

Clay Sculpture

Create your own free-standing clay sculpture by learning all of the true sculpters techniques: create an armature, build up clay and carve in detail. Each student will sculpt two works of art which will be ready to pick two weeks later.

Get Used to Your Digital Camera

Learn to use your your camera's features including modes, scenes and menus. Whether you are on vacation watching a spectacular sunset, or at your child's baseball game, make sure you know how to capture the moments. Register online here.

Calling all future Pop Stars and Rock Stars! Learn song structure and different grooves while working in a collaborative atmosphere sharing songs and ideas with their peers. 1 year experience playing any instrument preferred.

Paint Out in the Garden

This series brings artists into local gardens to work en plein air (outdoors). Each week artists are invited into a different garden to work at their own pace without an instructor. Many of these gardens have been created by artists, featured in major horticultural magazines and on local and national garden tours. Offered every Thursday through the summer.

Yoga for Mommy & Me

A fun way to stretch, breathe, connect, bond and support each other in yoga sequences. Caregivers and dads welcome also. Every child needs an adult buddy.

Pottery Wheel Refresher

Experience creating pottery on the wheel! Whether it was something you tried in high school, or have never touched before, this fun guided workshop will cover the very basics. Pots will be ready to go home two weeks later. Workshop also offered in July.
