Whewww. . . . . . . . . . .Finally Derby is here and I'm getting this newsletter out! Between being overbooked, canceling parties, djing, Thunder over Louisville, late sponsorships, mixtapes, new equipment and broke promoters( you know who you are. . . . .) the list goes on! However on the upside of things, This will be the first Pegasus Parade that I will be in with B96.5 so that should be interesting. The parties and celebrity fanfare buzz is growing daily and I'm hearing about people like Michael Jordan, Serena Williams, Rajon Rondo, Terrell Owens, Troy Hudson, Tank, Missy Elliott, Common, Dwele, Q-Tip, Kim Kardashian, Grandmaster Flash and many more attendees/guests will be present in "Da 'Ville!" Aside from all the Sluggah party infotainment included in this email, I'll be doing interviews on the red carpet at the Grand Gala alongside Mark Gunn(B96.5). Last years Gala was off the chain considering Floyd Mayweather Jr. was fighting Oscar De La Hoya in Las Vegas there was still a high caliber of attendees like Superbowl Champ Michael Strahan(NY Giants), Julius "Dr. J" Erving, Essence Atkins, Gabrielle Union, Regina King, Vince Young, Antwone Fisher, Keith Robinson, Tom Joyner, All Access Hollywood and many more! My Derby weekend will kick off at Kye's I & II May 2nd with the Goodtimers(10pm-until) and JRP Gaskins Productions at The Kentucky Museum of Arts and Crafts May 2nd & 3rd(12am-6am). Sunday I will be attending the 2nd annual Kymp Kamp Awards that is being televised on The CW courtesy of Da Show(Shout out to Choc & Duece)and djing @ City Block for the Static Major Tribute(check out flyer below and shouts to Lil D.)! My biggest surprise this year for Derby is that the city of Louisville is going to be opening Broadway??!!! Yeah, it's gonna be crazy and a lot of cruising but most of all lets be safe and drink responsibly for all YOU casual drinkers! LOL! I will be giving away FREE mixtapes for those of you lucky enough to catch me IN PERSON. If you are not so lucky.....they will be available @ Better Days or a bootlegger near you!
