Summer Solstice Labyrinth Walk

With the backdrop of the glow of the skyline of Las Vegas, sixty beautiful souls quietly gathered in the ancient sacred ceremony celebrating the longest day of Summer Solstice June 20th by walking a powerful Labyrinth carved into the cement at the West location of St. Rose Dominican Hospital.   Linda Roth, Debra Arment and facilitators from Barbara Greenspun's Women's Care Center sponsored the event and the sharing from those attending was profound and enlightening.  Amy Godsoe described the history and set the energy for walking the Labyrinth.  Patti McCurdy brought in the four directions as the tea lights circling the Labyrinth twinkled.  Everyone was smudged and entered to the sounds of Freddie, Joy  playing chimes and Tibetan Bowls setting the heartbeat and tone.  We ended the evening with an exciting drumming circle led by Holly Lyman and sharing by all.  Goldie led the ethnic dancing and healing meditation.
