Greetings!

Welcome to Spring! It finally arrived in full bloom!

I have been keeping busy in my new home and work studio. I can hardly believe it has been a year since we moved here! Thank you to all who have come to the studio to support me! As my business evolves, my practice blooms with the flow and my policies shape-shift along the way. Please read my updated policies below.

Please also enjoy some of the interesting fitness and health links that I have been collecting since November for you all. I had 6 pages collected, so I hope I weeded them out enough for your reading pleasure.

Reminder: the studio will be closed April 27th through May 10th  for Dan and I to celebrate our wedding and honeymoon (!). Thank you for all of your well-wishes to make my dreams come true!

This means there will be NO CLASSES April 27th, April 30th, May 4th and May 7th. Other than the fore-mentioned break, Body Temple classes are still running in the studio:

Beginning/Restorative Body Temple Movement and Stretch:
Tuesdays 6:00 - 7:00 pm

Intermediate/Advanced Body Temple Movement Interval/Circuit Class:
Fridays noon - 1:00 pm

If you have ever had a session with me, feel free to drop in to a class. Email me if you are unsure of which class to join. Please refer your friends and family for an evaluation if they are interested in joining class. It is for their safety and well-being to have a complete movement analysis before joining any exercise class. Please contact me with questions or clarification.

That's it for now. If I don't see you in class or for a regular session in the next few weeks, I'll see you when I return from Belize as Mrs. Elizabeth Duncanson. More on the business name in future editions...

Updated Policies/Reminders

Body Temple Logo
It has always been my policy not to submit bills to your insurance. Thanks for your understanding. The reminder is that I will not issue an invoice without a doctor's referral for physical therapy. In most cases, our regular sessions count as a wellness visit and it is NOT covered as physical therapy by your insurance provider. If you have a current diagnosis that requires traditional physical therapy, please use your insurance and go to a traditional physical therapy (PT) clinic. When you have been discharged or graduated from traditional PT, please contact me for a session to reach your additional fitness goals (not covered by insurance).

If you choose to submit your wellness invoice to your insurance or health savings account against my advice, and your insurance company contacts me to request documentation, then YOU WILL BE CHARGED my regular hourly rate ($100/hr) for any time spent on the phone with your insurance provider, or time spent copying, faxing, or mailing, your medical record.

Also, stay tuned for updated house-call rates this fall. One year after opening the studio, I have a waiting list. I will be able to see these clients if I discontinue house calls...so, I will think about what's fair for everyone while I am on vacation next month. Please email me with suggestions.
