Drive for DI Update
| |
We are currently 5 weeks into the Drive for DI sales campaign with Ameritas/Union Central.
Click here for the updated standings as of 7/13/2012.
There is still plenty of time to submit and pay for DI business with Ameritas/Union Central to make the leader board and a shot at qualifying for the race package in Texas. Remember all business submitted during the campaign counts and ALL business paid for during the campaign also counts even if it was submitted prior to the start of the campaign. Also note that the GSI catagory is ripe for the picking at this point. Good luck and let us know how we can help you qualify!

Summer DI Selling cont...
| |
In the last newsletter I talked about how the summer is the best time to sell DI and that in the past our prior years production has always borne that out. Well June was certainly no exception to the past as we had our second best month of the year in June with $124,000 of submitted premium. Thanks to all of you who contributed to that level. We are hearing about cases coming in for July and we already have some cases in, so we expect to see another banner month of production.
You may wonder what is a good level of DI production for an individual producer in any given year? Well anyone who does over $25,000 and has $100,000 of in-force would be considered a "PACESETTER", which is a national recognition program for DI producers at Ameritas. Of the 32 they recognize nationally we have 5 of those. At that level of paid premium we also pay extra first year commissions and extra renewal commissions. First year goes from 50% to 60% back to the first dollar written, and renewals go from 5% to 15% vested for 9 years. The next level would be $50,000 of paid DI premium, and that would pay out 70% first year and 20% renewals vested for 9 years.
So do we have brokers who hit these levels? Well, having 5 "PACESETTER's" with a minimum of $25,000 of annual DI production we do have producers hitting that level. What about the $50,000 level? Yes we had 3 producers above that level last year. You might wonder what is the highest level any producer in our agency has reached, and that would be $106,000 of paid DI premium in one year. Is someone out there going to set a new standard in 2012? Perhaps as we have one who is already past the $50,000 mark at the half way point. We will let you know if that level is broken.
All of us here wish you the best selling in the summer of 2012, and let us know how we can help?
