Thai massage trainings in Chicago at Thai Bodywork Greetings!

Thai Bodywork has some great NCBTMB-Approved training opportunities coming up before we break for the holidays. We have Level 1 trainings scheduled for this coming weekend and the first weekend in December, Clinical Thai Bodywork 1 in mid-November and HandsFree Thai 1 in mid-December. We next offer the complete Core Series. Levels 1-3, in January 08. Please see the complete schedule below.

Our program is designed to be accessible to anyone, with no prerequisites for the Level 1 or HandsFree 1 trainings, a weekend intensive format that allows you to study at your own pace, and  sophisticated teaching that places strong emphasis on body mechanics, building clinical knowledge and working sustainably. Our students come from many walks of life, including professional massage therapists, yoga teachers, physical therapists, trainers, and many with no prior experience who are interested in a career change.

If you are a massage therapist or physical therapist, Thai can give new life to your hands and your career. Industry and consumer interest in Thai has been skyrocketing because of its unique qualities: it is done fully clothed on a mat or table, is therapeutic, relaxing and invigorating, increases flexibility and is an amazing treatment for chronic pain and peak performance.

If you're interested in observing an actual training, please let us know -- we allow a limited number of potential students to observe on Friday evening as a way of experiencing Thai Bodywork classes in person.
HandsFree Thai Massage HandsFree Thai: December Weekend
Interest in our HandsFree Thai Massage trainings continues to grow. We have added another HandsFree Thai 1 weekend on December 14-16. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience our unique HandsFree Thai Bodywork 1 training (no prerequisites, $425/20 hours/20 CEUs). If your hands are hurting, or you work on larger clients and athletes, there is no better therapeutic modality for both therapist and client.

HandsFree Thai,  taught only at Thai Bodywork, can add years to your career. This has become one of our most popular courses, and this mid-December training will have a modest class size -- please let us know asap if you are interested in attending. More information...
Thai Massage Level 1 at Thai Bodywork Core Thai Massage Studies - Levels 1-3
We teach our highly popular Level 1 weekend  training ($425, 20 hours/17 CEUs, no prerequisites) every month at our school in Evanston, IL and our Certified Instructors offer Level 1 at other locations in the USA. Our next Level 1 trainings are coming up on Nov. 2-4 and Nov. 31 and we still have some room, don't delay getting your deposit in if you're interested.

Levels 2 and 3 are 40 and 70 hours each, and fill out your basic Thai massage education. We present these wonderful, information packed trainings again in January 08. Please see the website for details.

Thai Bodywork Certified InstructorThai Bodywork Certified Instructors are now offering Level 1 trainings in other states, including Florida, Missouri and Wisconsin - please check the schedule page for updates, as our program is continually expanding. Level 2 Thai massage Clinical Thai Bodywork Nov. 16-18
There is an epidemic of pain in our culture, and unfortunately, pain conditions are often misdiagnosed, misunderstood and mistreated. I created Clinical Thai Bodywork as a method to teach my students how to solve specific client problems using a Thai massage framework. I have borrowed from the brilliant myofascial trigger point insights of Drs. Travell and Simons, ideas from meridian-based acupuncture, electronic point stimulation and osteopathic bodywork, and a reformulation of some of the traditional asanas and sequences in traditional Thai bodywork.

I have had amazing results in my own practice, and hear success stories from my students almost daily. We are often the last recourse for clients who have been failed by allopathic medicine. It is a wonderful thing to see hope return to people who have resigned themselves to a life of crippling pain.

Our next Clinical Thai Bodywork 1 training is this month, November 16-18. Level 1 is a prerequisite, and additional Thai training/clinical experience is preferred. We do still have room, but don't delay it you are interested in attending.
